Location
The laboratories of the Department of Computer Science are located in the building at Via Salaria, 113. These consist of the Colossus lab and the Hal9000 lab.
The Department has also contributed to the establishment of the Faculty labs. Some activities are carried out in these labs.

Laboratorio Colossus This is the largest laboratory. It has 42 stations equipped with recent PCs. Laboratorio HAL9000 This lab, also called "laptop lab", has 20 stations that students can use with their own laptops. It's also equipped with independent air conditioning. All labs are equipped with cabinets that can be used by visitors (during the day) with their own lock. | ![]() |
Access to the labs
Internet access from lab PCs is available through a Captive Portal with a uniroma account (surname.matricola@studenti.uniroma1.it for students or name.surname@uniroma1.it for structured staff).
Installation and use of software
Additional software cannot be installed on lab PCs. Users can only use the already installed software.
To facilitate software development activities, it is possible to use an emulated operating system. This allows full ownership of the system and freedom to install, configure and test the desired software.
