2019: Four new Faculty members at the Department of Computer Science
The Department of Computer Science welcomes four new faculty members. They will strengthen our position in the strategic sectors of AI, Big Data and Data Mining, and Technology Driven Innovation. Prof. Claudio Di Ciccio comes from the Wirtschaft Universitaet Wien. His expertise lies at the crossroads between computer science and economics, including in particular blockchain technology. Prof. Fabio Galasso is an expert in Deep Learning. Prior to joining Sapienza he was the Director of the Osram Computer Vision Lab in Munich. Prov. Giuseppe Pirrò is an expert in AI. Before joining the department he was a researcher at CNR. Last but not least, prof. Gabriele Tolomei is an expert in Big data and Data mining, with years of experience at Yahoo! Research Labs.
