Biografia di Mancini Luigi Vincenzo

The current research interests of Luigi V. Mancini include: network and information security, public key infrastructure, authentication protocols, computer privacy, wireless network security, fault-tolerant distributed systems.

Luigi V. Mancini published more than 100 scientific papers in international conferences and journals, and has received more than 3000 citations. He has served on the program committees of several international conferences, among which: ACM Conference on Computer and Communication Security, ACM Symposium on Access Control Models and Technology, European Symposium on Research in Computer Security, Financial Cryptography and Data Security Conference, and ACM Workshop of Security of Ad-hoc and Sensor Networks.
He is the founder of the two Master degree programs in Information and Network Security at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", and of the Laboratory of Information and Communication Security (ICSecurity), see http://icsecurity.di.uniroma1.it.
He carries out scientific collaborations in the context of numerous national and international research projects, and in particular, he was responsible of the project ExTrABIRE, http://www.extrabire.eu, funded by the European Commission - Directorate General Home Affairs. Currently, he is Vice Dean of the Facoltà di Ingegneria dell'Informazione, Informatica e Statistica, http://www.i3s.uniroma1.it and the Deputy Director of the Research Center of Cyber Intelligence and Information Security (CIS), http://www.cis.uniroma1.it.

Luigi V. Mancini received the PhD degree in Computer Science from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, in 1989.
