Biografia di Fachini, Emanuela

Emanuela Fachini obtained her degree in Mathematics from the University of Naples in 1975.

From 1976 to 1984 she was a research associate in the “Dipartimento di Informatica e Applicazioni” of the University of Salerno, where she became an Associate Professor in 1985 and Full Professor in 1987. Subsequently she held the post of Director of the university’s “Dipartimento di Informatica e Applicazioni” and, following this, the post of Director of the Degree Program in Information Science.

During the Academic Year 1985/86 she was a visiting scientist at the “Laboratoire d' Informatique
Théorique et Programmation” of the University of Paris (Paris VII), working on systolic automata.

In 1990 she became a Full Professor in the “Dipartimento di Informatica, Sistemi e Produzione” of the 2nd University of Rome 'Tor Vergata'.

She joined the “Dipartimento di Informatica” of the “Sapienza” University of Rome in 1997.
