The KDD Best Paper Award  for 2015 went to Flavio Chierichetti for a paper entitled "Efficient Algorithms for Public-Private Social Networks". KDD is one of the flagship ACM conferences and is considered to be "the premier international forum for data science, data mining, knowledge discovery and big data research and practice."

 

Among the co-authors of te paper are also two of our former doctoral students, Silvio Lattanzi, who is now a researcher at Google, and Alessandro Epasto, who just finished his doctorate and is now a postdoc at Brown University.
