Title: Towards advanced HCI: UX, XR, Vision, and AI for novel frontiers in Natural Interaction
Abstract: This seminar will explore human-centric paradigms in computer science, focusing on the cross-topics of Extended Reality (XR), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and Computer Vision. We will examine how deep learning and immersive headsets are used to analyze human behavior and design intuitive User Interfaces (UI) and User Experiences (UX). We will review projects related to the works accomplished over the years, introduce key theoretical concepts, and discuss currently open problems in the field. Finally, the talk will highlight the ongoing work of VisionLab, the laboratory currently hosting this research, and its mission to build lightweight and intelligent interfaces that seamlessly respond to human needs.
