On Wednesday, September 9th, during its annual conference, the Italian Chapter of the European Association for Theoretical Computer Science will award the Young Researcher Award to Giuseppe Perelli.
The ceremony will be followed by an invited talk, in which he will present recent results on Synthesis for Multiagent Systems.
The award, established in 2013 and presented annually, recognizes a Young Researcher (under 40) who has distinguished himself for the relevance, quality, and continuity of his scientific contributions in Theoretical Computer Science.
This recognition builds on the "Somalvico" Award, which he received in 2023 for his contributions to Artificial Intelligence in Italy, demonstrating that his work is appreciated across various areas of Computer Science.
Giuseppe Perelli has been a member of our department since 2021, where he coordinates the AuRA Lab.
He graduated from the University of Naples Federico II, where he also earned his PhD in 2015 under the supervision of Professor Aniello Murano. He subsequently worked as a Research Assistant at various international institutions, including the University of Oxford, Chalmers University, and Rice University.
His main research interests concern aspects of Formal Methods for Artificial Intelligence. In particular, he focuses on Verification and Synthesis for Multi-Agent Systems, Knowledge Representation, Automated and Strategic Reasoning, as well as Logic, Automata, and Game Theory applied to Artificial Intelligence. He continues to collaborate on these topics with leading international experts in the field, including Natasha Alechina, Giuseppe De Giacomo, Brian Logan, Aniello Murano, and Michael Wooldridge.
